I’m a small batch soapmaker in Buford, Georgia who found a passion for something beyond a day job and my family. This site officially went live on 6/14/19 so you won’t find a lot of content here at the moment but I’m working on that. You can teach an old dog new tricks and I’m learning all of them right now.

I called my company Neat’s Soap because as a kid I was called Neats all the time; a nickname for my name, Anita. I was seldom called Anita until college and am often still referred to with that nickname by my siblings and cousins.

I’ve started the site with an assortment of soaps, and will add my lip balm, lotions and lotion bars soon. Lately I’ve been playing around with clays and the results have been really wonderful. I’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback on the sea clay soap in particular, so am going to expand that line with activated charcoal and bentonite clay.

I’m also experimenting with shampoo bars because I think it’d be great to travel with one of those instead of needing a quart sized bag in my carry-on when I take my next flight. And because lots of my (male) family members have beards, I’m looking into beard oil.

It’s still a site in progress, so please be patient as I fumble my way through web development.
